Who we are

Arko Tech Limited, a company registered in Scotland, number SC884278, based in Edinburgh. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at info@arko.build.

What we collect

Only what you type into a form on this site, and anything you choose to send us afterwards.

• From the cost plan form. Your name, email address, project postcode and the type of project.
• From the architect and supplier forms. Your name, email address, and your practice or company name.
• After you get in touch. The drawings and project details you send us by email, so we can produce the work.

We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites.

Why we have it

To reply to your enquiry, to produce the cost plan you asked for, and to keep a record of work we have done. Where you have asked us for something, we rely on the steps needed to enter into or perform a contract with you. Otherwise we rely on our legitimate interest in running the business and answering people who contact us.

Who else sees it

This is the part worth reading. To price your project we send quantities and specifications to manufacturers and suppliers so they can give us a figure.

• We do not send them your name, your email address or your address. They receive a schedule of what is needed, and where delivery cost depends on location, the general area rather than the specific property.
• We never sell or rent your details to anyone, and no supplier pays us for access to you or to your project.

Our website runs on Webflow, which stores form submissions on our behalf. Our email is handled by our email provider. Both act as processors under our instruction, and both may store data outside the UK under the safeguards required by UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become work are deleted within twelve months. Where we have produced a cost plan, we keep the project file for six years, which is the period in which a question about the work could still be raised.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it. Email info@arko.build and we will respond within one month.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
